Аннотация:The aim of this book is to emphasize that the teaching – learning process can be viewed from not only the teachers’ but also from the students’ points of view. On the one hand, the way the students themselves see the process of teaching and on the other hand, these findings could also be of great importance to teachers as well. In the Conclusion section a lot of conclusions are drawn in connection with motivation, students’ needs and syllabus design. Although there are a great deal of factors to influence the process of teaching and/or learning, the present work will only focus on three of them: motivation, student needs and syllabus design. Some of the findings based on the results of two surveys made by students will also be illustrated by diagrams. The findings are very useful for us, teachers to be aware of so that we can improve the process of teaching and learning in the future. These factors really do influence the teaching/learning process, and the process, whether positive or negative, does influence the students.

Поэтому из более чем 130 национальностей, населяющих СССР, около 80 не получили никаких национальных образований. Причем “выдача” государственности осуществлялась странным образом. Эстонцы, например, общее число которых в целом по стране, согласно переписи населения 1989 г., составляло 1027 тыс., имели союзную государственность; татары, численность которых более чем в 6 раз превосходит число эстонцев (6649 тыс.) - автономию, а поляки (1126 тыс.) или немцы (2 039 тыс.) не имели никаких национальных образований. Фиктивные федерализация и автономизация страны с четырьмя неравноправными уровнями национально - государственных и национально - административных образований (союзная республика, автономная республика, национальная область, национальный округ) на волюнтаристски нарезанных территориях, на которых исторически проживали и другие народы, заложили под национальный вопрос в СССР мину замедленного действия. Последующие волевые изменения границ национальных образований и передача огромных территорий (например, Крыма) из одной республики в другую без учета исторических и этнических особенностей, депортация целых народов с родных земель и рассеяние их среди других национальностей, огромные миграционные потоки, связанные с массовым выселением людей по политическим мотивам, с великими стройками, освоением целины и другими процессами, окончательно перемешали народы СССР. По переписи 1989 г. одних только русских проживает за пределами России 25 млн. 290 тыс. человек. Кроме русских за пределами России оказалось 3 млн. русскоязычных представителей других народов.
