Великие русские путешественники В 1876 году он вновь берёт курс на Тибет. Первым из европейцев Пржевальский достигает таинственного озера Лобнор, открывает неизвестный ранее хребет Алтындаг и определяет точную границу Тибетского нагорья, установив, что оно начинается на 300 км севернее, чем считалось ранее. Но проникнуть в глубь этой почти не известной европейцам страны ему на сей раз не удалось. И всё же спустя три года русский землепроходец достиг заветного нагорья. Абсолютная неисследованность этого района и привлекала Пржевальского, направившего сюда в начале 1880-х гг. свою экспедицию. Это было самое плодотворное его путешествие, увенчавшееся многими открытиями. Правда, истока Хуанхэ Пржевальскому обнаружить так и не удалось(он был найден лишь совсем недавно), однако русской экспедицией был детально исследован водораздел между Жёлтой рекой - Хуанхэ и крупнейшей в Китае и Евразии Голубой рекой - Янцзы. На карту были нанесены неизвестные ранее хребты. Пржевальский дал им названия: хребет Колумба, хребет Московский, хребет Русский. Одну из вершин последнего он назвал Кремль. | |
